A Fresh View On The Vacation Rental Managers Association Conference

Barefoot newcomer, Claiborne Yarbrough, attended the VRMA Conference with the team in Nashville this month.  With less than a month under her belt and being stuck in a booth with 3 annoying gents, this would be quite a task for the new member of our vacation rental software team.  Read on to see how she handled it, her key takeaways, and an overall introduction to the newest member of our sales team!

The National Vacation Rental Managers Association show in Nashville this year lived up to expectations. With a record breaking attendance and a packed vendor exhibit hall, the stage was set for great information, networking and good opportunities to learn how different vendors could help property managers grow their business.

Meeting in the Elavator

As the “newbie” on the team, I was looking forward to meeting our customers, vendor partners and the property managers who were new to the conference as well. But the most important thing that I needed to do was to master the message, the Barefoot story, the “elevator pitch” that I could communicate our value very quickly in a busy and loud venue with lots of distractions.

With three weeks under my belt, this was going to be a bit of a challenge. As the vendor showcase kicked off, I found myself talking about different aspects of the Barefoot solution, the longevity of the company, the continually growing number of customers, the integrated trust accounting system and the feature rich software.

Then I really began to boil down to what I feel is the differentiator for the Barefoot vacation rental management software solution… we work in partnership with our customers to help them achieve their goals… whether that is growing the company, achieving greater efficiencies or being able to continually leverage the latest technology that the industry has to offer.
