General Security
Password Protected
Barefoot Agent is password protected. Please make sure that you do not give out your passwords to people who should not have access. If you need to change your password you should see your administrator.
Barefoot will not provide any password information to anyone except your office administrator.
Session-Oriented Connection
By design, Barefoot Agent allows access to its data only after a user has been authenticated by password. Other direct attempts to gain access to the data will not allowed by Agent.
Document Deletion
Barefoot Agent does not allow you to delete a contract or records. It is a legal document and as a result you may need the contract whether your customer signs it or not. But you are able to cancel the contract, which will remain in your files.
Local Security
Daily Back-Up, Virus Scans and Dedicated System
A daily back-up will help you restore lost or corrupted information if there is ever a problem. When you download information from the Internet or other sources, a virus scan will reduce the chance of anything happening to your system. By dedicating your server system to running Agent only, you will minimize the chance of potential damage to the system, data, and software.
Internet Connection
A Direct Connection allows your agent access to your Server, but it can also give access to others. Make sure that you have a firewall and additional passwords in place that protects you from unwanted intrusion.

Many of the Internet Security precautions are taken care of by Barefoot in conjunction with our hosting partner, Vitts Networks
Daily Back-up
Back-ups are performed every night.
24/7 Monitoring
