How can iLink help my business?

I already have an Internet site that I am happy with, how can iLink further help me?
The iLink connects your desktop application (Barefoot Agent) to your Internet site. Barefoot can make those static pages dynamic while still maintaining the look you desire.

I do not have a web site, where do I start? Barefoot can fully manage the design of your site for you, or we would be happy to assist your designers in doing so. We will also integrate the design to the Barefoot iLink search engine. Once you have your domain name you have the option to use the iLink search engine as your initial website.

If I add a new asset to my portfolio how difficult will it be to get it included on the iLink search engine?
It will be automatically reflected on your search site. There is no extra work for you.

How easy will it be to modify pictures for Barefoot iLink?
All you need to do is change the picture in Barefoot Agent There is no extra work to update iLink.

Is it truly a real-time search?
Depending on your setup options, it can be from real-time to 1 day's latency in synchronization. Contact us for more detail.

Will I be able to do reservations and bookings over the Internet?
Yes, if you want to do any level of reservations or bookings over the Internet we have the ablity to customize the solution for you. Please talk to us further about your requirements.

Someone else owns most assets I manage, could they access the system to update information?

Does my search engine have to look like everyone else's?
Search engines typically have specific features as they have similar tasks. Your website layout determines the look and feel. Our standard iLink package offers a standard navigation scenario, and our custom solutions can take your uniqueness as far as you want to go.

The Barefoot iLink package comes standard with a set of search scenarios and key data layout. Where you take it from there is virtually unlimited.

What does the monthly subscription fee cover?
The monthly subscription fee varies depending on your office size and your data volume, but typically covers the following:

Hosting the search engine
Hosting the Internet search data
Ensuring the search engine properly functions (Barefoot cannot guarantee on the connectivity between your Barefoot Agent™ server and iLink server, if Agent is not hosted by Barefoot)
Cost of Internet traffic to your search site - because we host the search site for you
Standard maintenance (backup, log review, etc.)

Can iLink link a village?
It sure can, iLink can talk with itself, so that agencies without exclusive availability can share their booked dates with other agencies without giving out price or customer information. The system can also be linked to other businesses offering services renters are interested in, such as bike, car or scooter rentals, boat charters, tours and ferry rides. The system has already been customized for central reservations and concierge services. Due to Agent and iLink's advanced programming we can actually communicate with any modern reservation system with some custom programming.

What else can the iLink do?
There are a number of additional iLink functions at several levels. iLink offers batch emails, links IPIX seamlessly, manages properties for sale off of Agent and in real-time to your Web site. Please call us for more details.

How long does it typically take to go on line?
Once the solution roadmap is agreed upon, the Internet connectivity between your Agent server and iLink server meets the requirements, you are already using Agent and a website layout is ready, the system can be up and running in one day, with your co-operation in QA and feedback. This will result in your website going live as quickly as one week.
